The Dolina Blaca Significant Landscape is a steep valley carved into limestone substrate with canyon cliffs reaching up to 200 meters in depth. The vegetation is predominantly Mediterranean, and noteworthy is the flora on the cliffs, represented by a rock-endemic community of Portenschlag's bellflower. The anthropogenic element of the landscape, shaped by traditional agriculture, although historically significant, has become less prominent due to the prolonged neglect of farming. It is unlikely to undergo substantial restoration in the foreseeable future.
The protected area also encompasses a coastal bay, contributing to the ecological network due to the presence of the seagrass meadow habitat of Posidonia oceanica.
