The Significant Landscape in the area of Zrće Bay in Croatia was declared in 1988, covering a total area of 359.09 hectares. The bay is approximately 500 meters long, with a width of up to 50 meters (the width being a specific characteristic of Zrće Beach). The bay is composed of fine gravel and sand that extends far into the sea. A portion of the immediate hinterland is covered by planted pine forests of Aleppo pine and black pine (Pinus halepensis and Pinus nigra).
